Even though today is the first day of the new year, we're going to start on Wednesday so that we have one last day to eat whatever the heck we want.
Here are the rules:
1. Put 10 bucks into the pot. Winner takes all. (give your money to Kelsey and she'll keep it safe)
2. BE HONEST. Cheaters never win and winners never cheat.
3. Keep track of your points! You can earn up to 5 points a day, 35 points a week.
Point 1: Drink 64 oz of water per day. If this seems hard, but just get a big Smart Water bottle and drink 2 of those. That's it.
Point 2: Be active/exercise 5 days a week. For the other two days, you get a free point, basically.
Point 3: Eat 1 vegetable and 1 fruit per day...at the very least.
Point 4: Good eating day/no treats. There is a fine line between what is a treat and what isn't, but use your best judgement and you can decide for yourself. But you do get ONE treat a week without losing any points (you pick the day you want it).
Point 5: Personal Goal. This can be anything you want, but it must be measurable! (Getting 7 hours of sleep each day, reading sciptures, washing your face, making your bed, Green Smoothies, no eating before 8 p.m., anything that can be measured.)
Treat Point Breakdown:
No treats = 1 point
1 treat = 0 points
Garbage Out (more than one treat in a day) = -1 point. Notice the negative.
4. Post your points every Monday by 10:00 p.m.
Posting on time gets you 1 bonus point per week.
5. Be prepared to unleash that INNER BABE!
Before we start on Wednesday, publish a post telling us about yourself and why you joined this contest. Tell us your definition of a good eating day, and let us in on your personal goal.
My name is Ashlee Turville. The Lucky one and only sister in law in the Turville Clan!! I am doing the ten buck babe challenge to whip my butt into gear for 2013 and create good habits! My personal goal is to have one green smoothie a day. A good eating day to me is.... eating a well balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner with healthy snacks in between, and no sweets!
ReplyDeleteBest of Luck to Everyone!!
My name is Kristin Muir. I'm the 2nd Turville sister, the midwestern one that lives in Kansas. I'm doing this challenge to break my love/hate relationship with double stuff oreos. We have become the absolute best of friends and it needs to stop. I'm also doing this because I have not exercised for the past year and few months. I got a umph to exercise a little over a year ago, then found out I was pregnant, then was sick for the whole time, had a baby, and have hung out with oreos since. It's time to get moving and pull my life back together. My goal is going to be not eating after 8pm. This will be tough, as I tend to eat my oreos and milk after the kids and my hubby go to bed (he teaches early morning seminary, so I end up staying up later feeding the baby and watching tv and eat oreos dipped in milk). I exercised this morning and I can already feel the soreness, but I feel great for having done it. A good eating day for me is eating a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner and healthy snacks..no sweets. Bye-bye oreos hello inner babe!!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Alison and I'm a foodaholic. :). I need to do this challenge to shed the weight I've packed on these past 8 months. I need to get back in the habit of exercising daily and eating better. My goal is to eat breakfast everyday so I don't pig out for lunch. A good eating day for me would be eating breakfast, portion control at lunch and dinner and try to stay within my weight watchers points for the day.

ReplyDeleteHi I'm Jami Turman. I am Ashlee Turville's sister-in-law. I am doing this because I need the motivation to put my self complaining into action. I want to feel better about myself, have more energy, be healthy and be a good example to my kiddos. A good eating day for me is lots of fruits & veggies, protein, an minimal carbs & dairy and no sweets. My goal is saying my personal prayers because I have been slacking BIG time.
ReplyDeleteSo here we go, let the fun begin!
